A believer’s growth is dependent on her appetite for the Word of God.

Do you treasure God’s Words? Do you store them in your heart? Do you think about all that He has said to you? Do you read His word like a text book or do you read it as a love letter to you?
My foot has held fast to His steps; I have kept His way and not turned aside. I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food. Job 23:11-12, Psalm 119:11, Proverbs 2:1; Prov. 7:1
Treasured; hide, lay-up, store up, hidden His words in my heart, pondered His words in my heart.
God’s Word is life to our soul. He is our Salvation. A believer’s growth is dependent on her appetite for the Word of God.
To hunger for God means to feed on Jesus Christ, the bread of life, the living water. The Word of God is the best nourishment that gives true satisfaction to our soul-spirit. Matthew 5:6 says; Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.
We are called blessed when we hunger and thirst for the Lord and His Holy Word. Sometimes there can be dry seasons, where the Lord can feel like He is far away, but our feelings and our thoughts should never dictate the truth, let our truth be rooted in Christ, what He says through His Holy Word. Let’s Keep His Words hidden in our hearts, feeding on the truth of His word. Admitting to the Lord when there is no desire to dig deep into His Word. Admitting when our relationship with the Lord feels dry and barren. Let’s come before God with clean heart’s admitting our mistakes, our failures, our sins and wrong perceptions of who He is. Let’s not listen to any of the lies of the enemy or the condemning voice of the enemy. When God convicts our hearts, it is to restore us and give us hope. When the enemy attacks our minds, let the bible be our foundation, and our guide, where we study who God is and fall in love with Him. Allowing Him to awaken our hearts, surrendering our lives to Him, submitting to the Lord, abiding with Him, staying with Him. Surrendering our thoughts over to Christ and replacing our thoughts for His truth found in the Holy Bible, the Holy Scriptures.
Happy is the soul that has been awed by a view of God’s majesty.
