My sacrifice [the sacrifice acceptable] to God is a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart [broken down with sorrow for sin and humbly and thoroughly penitent], such, O God, You will not despise.
Penitent; feeling regret for sins: expressing or feeling regret or sorrow for having committed sins or misdeeds.
There are so many things in my life that I wish I could have done differently, numerous mistakes and misdeeds I have done. The countless regrets, the countless tears and the countless choices that have torn my heart apart. I’ve lived a broken, humiliated, shameful life, searched for love in all the wrong places only to be more broken than I was before.
Proverbs 4:23 NIrV says: “Above everything else, guard your heart.It is where your life comes from.”
Your heart, your life, your words, your purity, your body is worth more than diamonds. God’s Word says we are fearfully and wonderfully made. We belong to the KING of kings, The PRINCE of PEACE, The Great I AM.
I have learned in my brokenness, in my darkest hours, the shame that once covered me, the look that once destroyed me. The substances that once controlled me. The music that played out the scene’s of my life. My life was spinning out of control. When I could have wished my life would be over. I once Hated me and all that I did. But God’s Mercy and Grace found me, while I was yet a sinner Christ died for me “For the entire world” When I am broken and when I cry out to the LORD, His Love covers me, surrounds me, I am engulfed by a love that I cannot explain. His LOVE is unfathomable! He fills all the emptiness in my heart. He puts all my broken pieces together. He is a GOD of Redemption, He saves and makes all things Brand New. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!“ 2 Corinthians 5:17
Let God be the one who fills you and makes you whole. We don’t have to search any longer, We can believe His countless promises.We can search His Word and believe everything He says. We can count on His Unfailing Love, His Merciful Grace.
“For I know the Plans I have For You, Declares the LORD, plans to Prosper You and Not to Harm You, Plans to give You Hope and a Future.” {Jeremiah 29:11}
