We must take our position in Christ Jesus, we must exercise our authority over the enemy, Satan.

We cannot hold onto “culture norms”. We must be willing for our lives to look completely different than the world around us — even if that means we don’t do what everyone else is doing and enjoy the pleasures everyone else is enjoying.
We must be willing to fix our eyes on a better prize. A heavenly prize; Christ Jesus our Lord;
seeking the eternal reward of the Lord’s approval. We all need the gospel and embrace Christ.
My ministry are my children and my husband and they are the ministry most precious to me. I will not lie there has been times, Satan has worn me out, and I wanted to get out of the fight, out of the spiritual battle, and out of my marriage but I resolved in my mind, I will fight for my family. I was exhausted, drained and felt worn out, but Satan is liar, he only comes to steal, kill and destroy.
I want Jesus and I want the way of the cross. I want to live my life pored out for Jesus. I don’t want to live a “normal life.” I want to live my life for God’s glory, here is my prayer; “take my life LORD, and let it be consecrated to You.”
Let’s be honest, real Gospel-centered ministry is not a walk in the park, it’s not some little fun hobby, it’s not a pretty little box, it’s not a self-focused life. It’s meant to be a cross, we see that throughout scripture. When we study the life of Jesus and His disciples, we see they were mocked and hated by the leaders of the day. Jesus was falsely accused, betrayed and crucified. Jesus asks us to take up our cross and follow His steps Mark 8:34.
We must take our position in Christ Jesus, we must exercise our authority over the enemy, Satan.
One imperative thing we can do before we launch into ministry, before we write that article, before do a Bible study, before we go on a missions trip, before we show up to help others, before we start the day, before we engage with our families, before we interact with our children, before we pray for others, before we go out witnessing and even when we do behind the scenes office work. We must pray.
There will be a spiritual battle in ministry. Satan hates when we share the hope of the gospel though our life and words. God tells us in scripture we have the power to resist the devil and he will flee. Binding and resisting the devil is biblical. Don’t forget in 1 John 4:4 …He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. We can prepare for spiritual battle by putting on the full armor of God and taking up our position in Christ Jesus. Today, I am seated with Christ Jesus in heavenly places created anew in Christ Jesus. Satan, I bind and resist you in the name of Jesus, Lord put Satan on a leash, he cannot interfere and has no dominion over me, keep him far away. Remove all distractions, confusion and any chaos over our minds. Help us to persevere and not grow weary. Let us lean on your grace, equip us to be grace-filled, keep us on that narrow road that leads to You.
I want to be a spiritual athlete trained in the things of the Lord. It’s not our will-power. It’s the grace of God.
