She considers a [new] field before she buys or accepts it [expanding prudently and not courting neglect of her present duties by assuming other duties]; with her savings [of time and strength] she plants fruitful vines in her vineyard. [S. of Sol. 8:12.] {Proverbs 31:16 AMP}
This proverbs 31 woman is wise she does not neglect her present duties by adding so many other duties to her schedule. She saves her time and strength for God and her God-given tasks. She understands the importance and value of planting seeds of encouragement and seeds of faith because she trusts in The Lord with all her heart.
Heart Check: Do I save my strength and time for my husband and children? Or do I overload my schedule with so many activities, so many unnecessary duties and tasks that leaves me feeling frustrated, drained and exhausted? Do I take time out of my schedule to meet with The Lord so that HE can replenish my energy and heart?
Are you planting fruitful vines in your vineyard: building up, encouraging, edifying, lifting up your husband and children in prayer?
Heart Check: Do I save time and strength for God and the things He has called me to do? Or do I overload my schedule that by the end of the day I’m feeling drained and exhausted and really didn’t accomplish all that I should have?
She opens her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the law of kindness. {Proverbs 31:26 NKJV}
She opens her mouth in skillful and godly Wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness [giving counsel and instruction]. (Proverbs 31:26 AMP)
She gets ready to work hard. Her arms are strong. {Proverbs 31:17 NIRV}
Lord Father God, please strengthen our arms for the tasks that you have given us. Help us Lord, to do our work with joy and peace in our hearts. Keep our minds focused and please help us to make the most of our time. May we willingly and eagerly work with our hands. O LORD, bless the work of our hands.
