But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
{1 Samuel 16:7}
As women we are constantly bombarded by the media, magazines, movie stars and by the culture who says it’s all about self and how the outward appearance looks. What the world portrays as beauty is, indeed, not true beauty at all. We live in a culture that glorifies self and cares only about the outward appearance, paying little to no attention at all to the inner beauty of goodness, kindness, gentleness and self -control. Proverbs 11:22 tells us, “Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion. Foolishness, a bad attitude and selfishness is very unattractive, just like a pig with a gold ring in its snout.
You are beautiful and created by our awesome Creator! He takes great delight in you, the apple of His eye! He fashioned and formed you in His likeness. I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. {Psalm 139:14}
The LORD is our Strength. He is the one that causes inner beauty to shine forth and gleam bright, just like stars in a sky!
A Godly woman is gorgeous, set apart especially for her LORD! Her light shines and beams. She’s filled with Grace and Love. She’s filled with Blessings from up above. She sings of heaven’s love. She’s crowned with the LORD’S beauty; a beauty that cannot be purchased, nor tarnished. A beauty that is unfading. She’s delightful, elegant and passionate about the things of GOD. She knows her confidence is in Christ her LORD. She was redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb. She was bought at a cost and therefore, she glorifies GOD in her body. She is worth far more than rubies, diamonds, or costly pearls. Her arms are strong for her tasks. Anything she wants from her Heavenly Father she asks, for she comes boldly to the throne of grace. She speaks with wisdom. She’s clothed with strength and dignity. She can laugh at the days to come. She delights herself in the LORD because He places all the desires of her heart. She cultivates a heart of contentment and gratitude for she knows the things of this world will fade away. She’s not focused on the here and now, she plans for Eternity. She does not let the things of this world influence her. She knows this is not her home for she is not of the world. Her focus is Christ. Her vision is heaven. She knows that serving Christ has great value. She considers it better than all the riches of this world for she looks ahead, to GOD’s reward.
Walk with your head held high with compassion, love and mercy because you serve the King of kings. The LORD tells us; great will be thy reward!
