Forgiven— remembering how much I have been FORGIVEN.

God's enabling grace and power help us to forgive and forget the past hurts and the pain. I want to be Christlike and remember the sins no more.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us (Psalm 103:12).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I, yes I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake and remembers your sins no more (Isaiah 43:25).

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more (Hebrews 8:10).

Forever grateful for our Forgiving, Redeeming Saviour who Forgives us of all our iniquities and remembers them no more.

A great reminder that helps to keep my heart humble is that there is more in me to be forgiven than in any of you. I can't help but think of the woman who loved much because she was forgiven much. Read (Luke 7:47).

Amy Carmichael wrote in her book Candles in the Dark; I love what she has to say, "God has forgiven me far more than I have ever forgiven you, so you see it is as one who has been forgiven much that I forgive you -not as one who never needs forgiveness. We love because He forgives. You remember our Lord's question about that (Luke 7:42). Oh, let us more and more deeply love the Forgiving Saviour and more and more walk softly with Him lest we grieve Him in any tiny thing. That is what I want to do, and I know you do too. Now all is forgotten, buried in the sea. I will never think of it again. It is gone. 🤍

His love displayed on Calvary
I love the story of hearing when poor Peter tried to defend his Glorious Master, his Savior, by cutting off the ear of the high priest’s slave.

“Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.”
‭‭John‬ ‭18‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“So Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?”

William Macdonald said it best, “His one desire was to dwell with God, and since the pathway to glory led to the cross, He was prepared to endure its suffering and shame.”

How many of us can relate to Peter?
Have you ever wanted to take control of your circumstances? Perhaps retaliate? Are you prepared to suffer for Christ? Will you willingly follow in His footsteps and endure its suffering and shame?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Christ Jesus calls us to a different way of living, to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him; we should follow in His footsteps, not avoid the path He calls us to. Sorrows, trials, and tribulations are evident. This Christian walk is filled with the troubles of this world. But we have a glorious promise, Jesus said, “I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!” John 16:33
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Lord, nourish my soul with the reminder that you have overcome the world. You are the Bread of Life, the Living Water; You are my sustenance. I am confident in this.

One thing I have desired of the LORD,
That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple (Psalm 27:4).

There are so many reasons to be thankful, the Lord

There are so many reasons to be thankful, the Lord is good, and His ways are faithful and true.

Thankful for the trials, the tribulations of life, the opposition, persecution, the hard, the bad, and the trying times because in it all, it points me to One great Savior--Christ Jesus, a firm foundation, the Rock of Salvation!

Forever thankful for who He is.
