A great departure from the truth.
by VANESSA WHITE

Apostasy will escalate like never before in the end times. A great departure from the truth will someday happen. The new testament speaks of the coming day often. 2 Thessalonians 2:3, Paul calls it the apostasy, the rebellion, or the falling away. He says that some people will depart from the faith. 1 Timothy 4:1. Paul tells us in the scriptures and suggest that the great departure will probably reach its fulfillment sometime before the rapture of the church read 2 Thessalonians 2:2, 7-9, 2 Timothy 3:1. Paul had also written that a form of this apostasy was already happening in his generation, how much more is it happening now in our generation? It’s evident that these departures, (turning away from the faith, and not wanting to listen to sound doctrine) would occur throughout the ages of the church and reach its ultimate climax in the last days 2 Thessalonians 2:7.
In the final hours of the dispensation of the church, many who confess biblical truth and say they have a relationship with God, will only be acting, living a lie, walking as religious frauds; fakes, pretender, imposter; a person falsely claiming to have a special knowledge or skill; a fraud. Apostasy will be intense in the final days before the rapture of the church. Paul explains to us in scripture why declaring God’s Word will be such a difficult task. A time will come when people will not want to put up with sound doctrine; God’s Word, its health- and life-giving nature of the gospel, people will not want to hear it. They will turn to fables, myths, fictions, falsely constructed stories, they rather hear incorrectly than hearing the truth. 1 Timothy 1:4, 4:7, Titus 1:14, 2 Peter 1:16. The bible also tells us that people will be paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons. There will be a ton of false teachers each with their different ways, they will come up with something new and interesting to the hearers. But the bible already tells us in Ecclesiastes 1:9. “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.” There can be no other true satisfaction, because only God’s Word when received with humility and a willingness to obey, can prove truly satisfying to the soul. God’s Word stands the test of time.
{James 1:22} Don't just listen to the word. You fool yourselves if you do that. You must do what it says.
Dear Lord, help us to stay in the word- to take the time to read, digest and understand what You are saying to us. Increase our spiritual wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Help us to do Your will and to keep Your words hidden in our hearts. Help us to stand true to the faith and to stand up against the threat of apostasy, let us contend earnestly for something the devil; the adversary, desires to take away from us; which is the Word of GOD. Help us to hold fast to Your precious words and promises. We thank You for your grace, may we grow in Your grace and knowledge of who You are. Please make us obedient children who want nothing more than to glorify You. We love You and we thank You.
God is loving, forgiving and calls us to new life. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.
