“My story is one of redemption and grace.”

I started my blog “Reverent Womanhood” because I wanted (true beauty), a beauty that radiates Christ. I wanted to learn what true beauty was all about. I wanted to know about God’s design for womanhood. I had no idea what a godly, reverent, respectful woman was or how she conducted herself. The Scriptures teach us to live lives that magnify and adorn the testimony of God’s Word.
… “let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ”… (Philippians 1:27 ESV).
“Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him, all the earth” (Psalm 96:9).
“Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women” (Titus 2:3-4).
I wanted to learn how to beautify the inside of my soul, the inner deposition of my heart. I pondered in my heart, “What was unfading beauty all about?”
Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight (1 Peter 3:4).
I desired to learn how to be respectful; a “reverent woman”, a kind woman, a woman of reverence, all my essence to worship the LORD. I wanted to learn how to honor God in every area of my life. I asked the LORD these questions; “What is the character of a godly woman? What is biblical womanhood? What does reverent in behavior mean?”
Reverent: expressing or characterized by reverence: Worshipful, very respectful, appreciative, gracious, polite, admiring, devout, humble, obedient, upholding, worshipping. I wanted to walk in His excellency.
“A kind and gentle woman gains respect… Proverbs 11:16”
I love everything about womanhood, femininity, and the Christian lifestyle; (godly living) according to the Word of God. God’s Word is life, it’s like a breath of fresh air.
I was a cheerleader in Highschool and loved cheering people on; my heart’s passion is more than just cheering and encouraging; we all need to be discipled and go and make disciples. My heart is for women’s ministry to journey with women by coming alongside them, getting into the fight, the good fight of faith through prayer. I understand how this journey can feel lonely, desiring someone to come alongside and mentor me and show me how to live a Christ-centered life.
I am just a broken woman with a hungry heart for the Lord who does not have her life altogether. I will always be a student of the Word, learning beside you. I am learning and growing in Christ every day. I am insufficient in and of myself; I need Jesus. I have not arrived and am in total need of God’s grace and the truth of His Word.
My heart’s genuine desire is to be a vessel God can use for His glory, to speak truth into women’s and young girls’ lives. We live in a culture that glorifies just wanting to be normal, but the “new normal” is a destructive lifestyle; that gives the enemy the upper hand, influencing through the culture, media, and many other ways.
True knowledge begins with God. Proverbs 9:10 tells us, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Theology is studying to know God, our Creator, to know His character, and His attributes; the Bible says, in Exodus 15:11 His holiness is majestic! God is Sovereign. Sound doctrine prevents us from the deceptive lies of the enemy and the devil’s many schemes. The Bible is an immovable bedrock of truth.
My mission is to help women and young girls grow in their Christian faith through God’s Word, prayer, reading the bible, and edifying women to draw closer to Jesus turning their eyes upon Him, and showcasing the beauty of Christ.

Awaiting Christ return,
