The Wise and Foolish Builders

“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.”
{Luke 6:46-49}

              God’s Word is Faithful and True, I understand when scripture says don’t just be hearers of the word and “deceive myself” but be doers of the word. (Hear the Lord’s words and put them into practice).
I acknowledge that I need God’s Infinite Grace. I need Him to help me through, to obey His every command and His ways are not burdensome to me. I take great delight, prayer has been my life line. I have prayed, took my petitions, requests and thanksgiving’s to Him and He is so Faithful in all He does. He has Always been there to guide me through; in my most darkest hours He has remained Faithful and True to His Word and He always will.
I have learned when I am struggling with trust, faith, endurance, sin, to be honest with God. Confessing all and asking for His forgiveness, guidance, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, peace and patience to get me through. It is not according to my timetable but according to His time and His will.
The storms will come, the floods and torrents of life but He is our Hiding Place, a Safe Haven. He is my Foundation, my Solid Rock, and those who put their Trust in Him will Never be put to shame.
